Regulator for nightreduction:
Regulators for night setback are used for controling fans in domestic and industrial applications. The regulator switches the fans time dependent on a lower speed. This saves costs in ventilation losses and power consumption. There is also a substantial reduction of sound level achieved. The controllers can control a number of fans at the time. Installation is simple and once set there is no need for maintenance.

Principle of regulation:
The principle of regulation is speed reduction by voltage reduction. This principal is not suitable for all fans. The voltage reduction is achieved with a special transformer. A 24 hour time clock is set to switch on the reduced voltage.

Selection of the regulator:
The regulator is suitable for use with fans that are recommended for speed control through voltage reduction. If this is condition is not met, the motors might burn out. A number of fans can be regulated at the same time, the total of currents however may not exceed the regulator current. In calculating this current calculate with the maximum current of the fans in regulated situation. Sometimes the regulated current is higher than the nominal current. If only the nominal current is known take 15% reserve.
